This month has come and gone, leaving nothing but drama and stress. My birthday was a complete disappointment due to some issues I would not like to discuss at the moment. And since then it’s been nothing but stress, stress and more stress. Jeff & I have been having some problems due to stress about money issues, car issues, family issues and personal issues. Our van has been a headache lately. First we thought our alternator/battery was shot. Turns out it’s nothing. Then I’m driving home from work and the van breaks down just as I’m parking in the underground lot. Our motor mounts and transmission mounts were shot so over $200 later it was fixed. As I’m driving to work yesterday, the engine started making this loud CLUNK sound so Jeff called in this morning and told them our problems. I drove it there and walked back and by noon they called and said it was nothing and that the transmission specialist took it for a test drive and found nothing wrong. It was just the motor adjusting itself on the new mounts. Ok, that’s fine with me. Thank God they were nice enough not to charge us for 3 hours of labor. Merry Christmas to them.
Earlier in the month, I went for my carpel tunnel test and found out I have it in both wrists. Now I need surgery. From what I’m told it’s 6 months recovery on each hand and I have to have them done seperately. GREAT! Wonderful! That’s one year off work, max. What will I do for one year with one hand??
The nice part of this month is that we get to go to 100 Mile for christmas. Just a short visit then we’re back here so that Jeff can go to work Boxing Day. A few days after that we’re off to Penticton to see his parents and grandma (who has been our angel lately). Grandma is putting us up in a nice hotel while we’re there and we were both able to get time off for that. We’ll have christmas with them and it’s back to work we go.
Jacob’s 2 now. Wow! 2!!!! Where has the time gone? I found myself feeling soooo old as 10 days after he turned 2, I turned 25. Jeff will be 28 in May. I remember when I was 21 turning 22 and he was making a big deal about turning 25 LMAO. He said he stopped aging at 25, so can I do the same? lol Jacob’s been spoiled lately, for his birthday we bought him a pirate ship. It’s the same size as one of those Lil Tyke’s houses and it’s in his room. Pretty soon we’re going to start potty training him and getting him to sleep in his own bed. This oughta be fun! He doesn’t like to wear pants anymore LMAO he’s constantly pulling them down and complaining when we tell him to pull them back on. Anyway, I’m off to finish doing the dishes and getting dinner started before we leave to pick up the babysitter. That’s been another fun time as our regular babysitter has started her practicum and isn’t available for a few days. I’ll get into that when I have more time.
Merry Christmas everyone.
From Jeff, Jacob and Me.
