It’s been a VERY long time since I blogged. Since March Jeff & I have gotten married, Jacob’s had 2 different full-time babysitters, been in daycare and I’ve been working as a Prep Cook at Montana’s Cookhouse since April. Life in the apartment has been frustrating, that’s for sure. Had our ups and downs and have nearly fallen apart many times. Jacob’s new thing is to throw many tantrums during the day, anything can bring it on…even having to eat dinner or have his diaper changed. He used to cry everytime he’d see me walk through the door after work, now 90% of the time I get smiles and a big “hi!” from him. I still look at him on my days off or before I get ready for work in the evenings and smile because he’s grown so much.
I’ve started smoking again, I quit the day Jacob was born and went over a year and a half without caving…minus the occassional smoke every few months. So I’ve got two new goals for the next 2 years, quit smoking and lose 100 pounds. I lost 50 when Jeff & I started dating and I know I can do it again, just have to try hard. We’re thinking of getting pregnant again too, so I have to keep that in mind. We’ve cut down to eating out once a month, but it’s hard since my hours are so wacky and I can never get home in time to cook dinner for the boys. Normally I bring home dinner from the restaraunt on weekends or we eat some crappy meal I whip up like perogies and weiners or kraft dinner and veggies. I’ve started cooking dinner in the morning and leaving it for the boys but that’s not working anymore…it’s really gross by the time dinner comes around.
Jeff & I were married August 4th in a very small ceremony. It was so unorganized and stretched out. I gained 10 pounds the week before the wedding and my period was 2 weeks late due to stress. Even went so far as to take a pregnancy test a week before the wedding. Still, we had fun. Cake smushing, laughing hysterically until we cried, staying up unti the wee hours fun. Jeff & I got spoiled when it came to gifts. Walked away with $1200 and a sony handycam. Everyone had fun and I’m sure when I figure out how I’ll post a few pics of the day. Not much else to say so I’ll blog again later.
